Moving to LifeCycle

LifeCycle is the NFA financial planning software included in the Asset Allocation System.  Moving an Optimizer case into LifeCycle permits you to examine its multi-period implications.  Depending on what you are doing, any of the options below could be helpful for moving your efficient frontier into LifeCycle.

• Save your Optimizer case.  This allows you to both save you Optimizer case for future use and to open the frontier within LifeCycle for analysis.
• Save a model portfolio set.  This allows you to pick up to six portfolios from the frontier as the primary options to be analyzed within LifeCycle.  This is particularly useful for central investment committees working with multipler LifeCycle users.
• Launch LifeCycle from within the Optimizer using the Launch Menu by picking one of the options below. 
• • Blank Case: LifeCycle opens with the current Optimizer case loaded as the efficient frontier, ready for you to build a LifeCycle case.
  • Choose File: You are prompted to choose a saved LifeCycle case file.  Then LifeCycle merges that file with the current Optimizer case's efficient frontier.
  • Sample Case: LifeCycle opens the sample Endowment case with the current Optimizer case loaded as the efficient frontier.
• To move an efficient frontier into an already opened LifeCycle case, use the copy option in the New Frontier ribbon in Optimizer and then the paste option within LifeCycle.
